Get Up Off The Floor!

As I mentioned in Get Up Off The Floor! PARTS #1 and #2 ,  AND #3, I think that one of the most important skills to have in life is the ability to transition smoothly from sitting on the floor to standing — without any help from the hands.  I also referenced Claudio Gil Araujo’s ‘Sitting-Rising Test’  to reinforce my vision.

Let’s finish off this series with step 4 today!!

That is a reminder to:

Ok, this next part is new…..but key to success in coming up from the floor.

At this point I have my weight on my front foot, 

And don’t forget to……..

And now it is time to come up off the floor!!

Stay long, stay stretched, use your strong leg to come up (like in Step 3)

Stretch your arms up and come on back down!

ESPECIALLY on the way down, it is important to….

The rest of the exercise is just like Step #1!
