Pilates Plans Galore!!!

by Mark Warhaft

Hello, my name is Mark Warhaft.  Pilates has saved my life twice. Once 25 years ago Pilates helped me get over a bad back injury. The second time Pilates saved my life is since 2017 – helping me recover from a very serious stroke.

I have been teaching Pilates since 2000. Very early on I realized that building my own Pilates equipment would be much cheaper than buying commercial pieces.

I’ve built Reformers, Chairs, Barrels, Wall Units, and yes, the Pilates
Therapy V-bed.

I’ve built Reformers, Chairs, Barrels, Wall Units, and yes, the Pilates
Therapy V-bed.

As Reiner Grootenhuis pointed out in his article last week,  this bed is extremely rare. Nobody sells them, and so the only way to get one is to build it yourself!

I am sad this bed is not more popular.  As with most Pilates inventions, the bed is a work of genius. It provides support in any position.  I have had one since 2001.  It is helped me immensely.  It truly is a therapy bed…

You cannot buy these beds, but fortunately I am giving away FREE plans to build it…  You’ll find the free download link at my site, https://pilates-equipment-plans.com/index.html.

I hope you will build one!

And please look at the other plans I have for building all your own Pilates equipment.

Mark has had a varied life. In 1991 he achieved a Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology (focus on ideology and social justice). Before that he had been an electronics hi-fi technician.  Mark has also been a chef forever (mostly Asian foods).

And since 2000 Mark has been involved in Pilates – both teaching, and building equipment.

In the 1980s Mark was practicing Yoga regularly, and in the late 1990s, he further discovered his body – studying Pilates, Thai Massage, and dance (Ballet, Modern, and Indian Katak).

In 2000, Mark moved to Toronto to certify as a Pilates instructor. He
then opened a small private studio which he filled with Pilates
equipment that he built himself.

After four years in Toronto, Mark moved to Chiangmai in Northern
Thailand where he opened another small studio. He also became the
Pilates instructor for the Chiangmai Royal Ballet.

While in Thailand, Mark further developed designs for building his
Pilates equipment.  Later, he would compile these plans in manuals for
building strong inexpensive Pilates equipment.

Mark is a very technical Pilates teacher, and has a great focus on how
to use the Pilates breath effectively.  That is why he named his
business “PilatesBreath”.

Currently, Mark teaches private Pilates classes online.

He says, “I have the ‘Eagle Eye’ and can see everything!”
